Dos entrevistados listados na se\u00e7\u00e3o de consumo ocasional, 27% revelaram comer esse tipo de carne algumas vezes por ano e 35% consumiram alguma vez na vida, soma que corresponde a 128 milh\u00f5es de pessoas. O consumo \u00e9 frequente apenas para 52 milh\u00f5es de brasileiros, ou 25% da popula\u00e7\u00e3o nacional, com 17% dos pesquisados saboreando a carne ovina pelo menos uma vez por m\u00eas, 7% uma vez por semana e 1% diariamente.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:1,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:270}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Embora o cen\u00e1rio seja promissor,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Samantha<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">t\u00e9cnica adjunta do Servi\u00e7o Nacional de Aprendizagem Rural (Senar), em Goi\u00e1s,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">refor\u00e7a que o consumo de carne ovina ainda \u00e9 t\u00edmido no Brasil: 0,7 a 1,0 quilo por pessoa ao ano, conforme dados de 2013 do Sebrae de S\u00e3o Paulo. Mesmo assim, o Pa\u00eds precisou importar, naquele ano, 7 mil toneladas de carne ovina do Uruguai\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">para abastecer o mercado interno, tamb\u00e9m segundo informa\u00e7\u00f5es do Sebrae-SP. Ela tamb\u00e9m destaca que o consumo se concentra mais na culin\u00e1ria da \u00c1frica, \u00c1sia e Oceania.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:1,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:270}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Tendo conhecimento que apenas uma pouca\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">porcentagem dos Brasileiros<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0consome ou at\u00e9 mesmo tem acesso\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a esse tipo de carne, seria mais\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">dif\u00edcil<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0fazer uma introdu\u00e7\u00e3o maior de ovinos e caprinos, por\u00e9m com uma produ\u00e7\u00e3o maior, o cust<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o da carne seria mais barato e com facilidade mais brasileiros teriam acesso a ela. A maioria dos ovinos e caprinos no Brasil s\u00e3o\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">criados em\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fazendas fechados e\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">produtores<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0pequenos de neg\u00f3cio familiar\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">que provavelmente<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0j\u00e1 vem sido<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0realizado\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00e1<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">muito\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">tempo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0o que torna a maior parte desse tipo de carne que chega aqui ser de outros\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lugares<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, fator que a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">umenta muito o custo da carne<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Nes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">as \u00e1reas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00e9 semeado o capim, que tem produ\u00e7\u00e3o elevada por 4 ou 5 anos. Ap\u00f3s esse per\u00edodo, os nutrientes do solo se esgotam e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de forragem declina, for\u00e7ando os pecuaristas a abandonar \u00e1reas e desmatar florestas para abrir novas pastagens. As \u00e1reas que se encontram em algum est\u00e1gio de degrada\u00e7\u00e3o no Brasil somam 60 milh\u00f5es de hectares.
