Sabendo disso,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">precisam ser tomadas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0medidas para diminuir o impacto do pl\u00e1stico no meio ambiente, reduzindo o consumo destas embalagens ou praticando a reciclagem. No entanto,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0pesquisas apontam que a fragmenta\u00e7\u00e3o de materiais pl<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e1sticos\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">que ocorre na reciclagem\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">pode\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">formar part\u00edculas poluentes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, os\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">micropl\u00e1sticos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0M<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">as antes de mais nada,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0\u00e9 importante primeiro\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">que seja compreendido\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">o caminho que as embalagens pl\u00e1sticas fazem antes e depois de estarem nas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0m\u00e3os de cada consumidor.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:708,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">O pl\u00e1stico \u00e9 um material que pertence \u00e0 classe dos pol\u00edmeros. Pode ser obtido artificialmente por meio de subst\u00e2ncias derivadas do petr\u00f3leo ou de fontes renov\u00e1veis, e \u00e9 formado por longas cadeias moleculares.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">O ciclo do pl\u00e1stico tem seu in\u00edcio\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a partir do processo denominado \u201cextrus\u00e3o\u201d. Estudos da\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Water<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Footprint<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0Network apontam que<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de uma garrafa de pl\u00e1stico de \u00e1gua mineral vista em supermercados, \u00e9 consumida uma quantidade de \u00e1gua que pode ser de seis a sete vezes maior que o volume do conte\u00fado da pr\u00f3pria garrafa. Al\u00e9m do mais, de acordo com a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">mesma<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0fonte<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, a popula\u00e7\u00e3o dos EUA adquire cerca de 29 bilh\u00f5es de garrafas de \u00e1gua mineral por ano. Com\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">es<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ses\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">dados,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e9<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">poss\u00edvel<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0fazer uma\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">br<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">eve estimativa do consumo total de \u00e1gua (atrav\u00e9s deste produto) nos Estados Unidos anualmente, o que resultaria em mais de 100 bilh\u00f5es de litros de \u00e1gua consumidos em garrafas de \u00e1gua mineral, o que equivale a 40 mil piscinas ol\u00edmpicas.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559731&quot;:708,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Por fim<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">como\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a etapa final deste ciclo,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">est\u00e1 o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0descarte. A reciclagem em si se d\u00e1 quando o pl\u00e1stico passa por um processo de tritura\u00e7\u00e3o, onde volta ao seu estado inicial (granulado), para ent\u00e3o ocorrer a reutiliza\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">esse<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0material para produzir novas embalagens ou outras coisas, como tubula\u00e7\u00f5es de esgoto, por exemplo. Uma delas \u00e9 o ac\u00famulo de materiais no meio ambiente, como um resul<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ta<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">do de sua lenta decomposi\u00e7<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e3o, que pode levar cerca de\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">4<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">00 anos.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Outro aspecto<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00e9 o encontro das embalagens pl\u00e1sticas com a vida animal:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">entre baleias, tartarugas, e golfinhos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, no m\u00ednimo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0300 animais marinhos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0morrem todos os anos nas \u00e1guas\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">tailandesas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0por engolir res\u00edduos pl\u00e1sticos<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Al\u00e9m disso, estima-se\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">que o peso em pl\u00e1stico no oceano ser\u00e1 superior ao peso em peixes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">quando chegarmos ao ano de\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">2050<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span d\u00e3o com<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0o esfarelamento<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0de pl\u00e1sticos maiores,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0que\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">pode\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ocor<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">re<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">r<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0com o desgaste\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">de pneus, por exemplo, ou at\u00e9,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">por incr\u00edvel que pare\u00e7a,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">no processo de\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">reciclagem.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0Os\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">micropl\u00e1sticos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0s\u00e3o\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ns<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0dos maiores poluentes do oceano<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0por<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0altera<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">r<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0sua<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0composi\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, e pode ser<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0encontra<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">a sa\u00fade destes de forma ainda in<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">determinada pela medicina<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Segundo a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">National<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Geographic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ma equi<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">pe de cientistas marinhos\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">da Universidade\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Flinders<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">concluiram<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0ap\u00f3s uma pes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">quisa, que\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">as Maldivas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">micropl\u00e1sticos<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0nas praias se encontra<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">m em grande quantidade, uma das maiores em escala mundial.
